Estendendo il discorso, qui mi limito a un piccolissimo numero di esempi, delle dozzine che si potrebbero portare (e su cui uscirà altrove un mio articolo, prossimamente).<br />
<br />
Alfredo Giuliani, il 3 ottobre del 1963 a Palermo già chiariva: "una cosa è la letteratura d’intrattenimento, altra cosa la letteratura di ricerca e di conoscenza". La collana che Einaudi vara nel 1965, a tutti nota, si chiama "La ricerca letteraria". L'espressione ha già almeno tre decenni nel momento in cui entra nel piano dell'opera <em>Letteratura Italiana Einaudi</em>, diretta da Alberto Asor Rosa (il tomo 4 del vol. 2 dell'opera, uscito nel 1996, dedicato al Novecento, si intitola precisamente <em>La ricerca letteraria</em> - anche se stringe il fuoco dello sguardo principalmente su Calvino).<br />

La dizione "ricerca letteraria" nella rivista veronese «Anterem» appare per la prima volta con il numero doppio 11-12 dell’agosto-dicembre 1979.<br />
<br />
Il libro <em>Poesia italiana della contraddizione</em> (a c. di Franco Cavallo e Mario Lunetta, Newton Compton, Roma 1989) fin dalle introduzioni sembra lasciare spazio a pochi dubbi, in termini di poetica. Ma anche limitandoci alla quarta di copertina troviamo, addirittura in grassetto e incorniciata da una quadratura rossa, questa descrizione: "Un’antologia di voci e di tendenze che opera una sistemazione provvisoria rispetto a quanto in un’area di ricerca avanzata si è fatto in poesia da parte di autori appartenenti a diverse generazioni".<br />

Dal 1993 al 2004, soprattutto per merito di Renato Barilli, si tengono a Reggio Emilia gli incontri di "RicercaRE", poi trasposti, dal 2007 in poi e col titolo di "RicercaBO", a San Lazzaro di Savena e poi a Bologna.<br />
<br />
Nella rivista «Baldus» (1990-1996) le occorrenze di "ricerca" e "poesia di ricerca" non si contano.<br />
<br />
Una storica, importante rivista come «Rendiconti», diretta da Roberto Roversi, riprende le pubblicazioni (dopo un'interruzione iniziata nel 1977) assumendo dal luglio 1992 il sottotitolo "Quadrimestrale di ricerca letteraria". L'anno dopo, Renato Barilli e Filippo Bettini curano il volume <em>63/93. Trent’anni di ricerca letteraria. Convegno di dibattito e proposta</em>, Elytra, Reggio Emilia 1993.<br />

Per gli autori della mia generazione le espressioni, "ricerca", "scrittura di ricerca", "poesia di ricerca", "ricerca letteraria" (o "in letteratura"), tra fine anni Ottanta e inizio del XXI secolo, erano di fatto fortemente percettibili come già ereditate da eredi, trasmesse a prescindere da noi. Solide.<br />

Parla di «ricerca» (e convoca testi di autori di poesia e scritture così definibili) Paolo Zublena, nell’antologia da lui curata per il n. 135 (2005) di «Nuova Corrente».<br />

Direi infine, senza altri addenda, che in questi ultimi vent'anni la ricerca, magari malvista, rivista, criticata, rimodulata, è stata presente come entità palesemente accolta dal e fissata nel contesto letterario.<br />
<br />
Nonostante ciò, nell'anno 2020, ancora alcuni critici e studiosi sentono il bisogno di metterla tra virgolette. Poesia o scrittura "di ricerca". Come se mettessero tra virgolette "computer", o fotografia "digitale". L'astio che li separa dalle punte sperimentali del Novecento è pressoché inscalfibile. <br />
